| The Building for the Third Century is the largest healthcare construction project in Boston’s history. This 13-story diagnostic, surgical, patient room hospital encompasses a total of 530,000 square feet. The building includes a 40,000 square foot fifth floor, designated solely for its mechanical infrastructure, plus a rooftop penthouse for additional mechanical equipment. The hospital features mechanical systems that include a 3,700-ton chilled water plant, 629,000 cfm of conditioned air, and 1.235M cfm of return and/or exhaust. This world-class hospital was accomplished using BIM-enabled scheduling and pre-fabrication and will achieve a LEED-Gold rating from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). |
